Ms. Silviya is an experienced Psychologist and Child Development Professional with a strong background in child protection, mental health, and developmental support. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa, and has dedicated her career to working with children, adolescents, and families across diverse psychosocial settings.

From 2013 to 2019, she worked at Sethu Centre for Child Development and Family Guidance as a Psychologist, Child Protection Officer, and Case Coordinator, where she was actively involved in assessment, intervention, case management, and safeguarding of children, including those with special needs and vulnerable backgrounds.

Ms. Silviya has undergone extensive professional training and continuous skill development in areas such as child rights, autism and behavior management, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), narrative practices, bereavement counselling, sexuality education, and child safeguarding policies. She has trained with reputed institutions including Ummeed Child Development Centre, Sangath Society, NIMHANS (Bangalore), Karl Kübel Foundation, and the Goa State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights. Her exposure also includes international perspectives through workshops such as Social Thinking by Michelle Garcia Winner and Brain Gym programs.

In addition, she has hands-on experience through on-the-job training at COOJ Mental Health Centre, and has completed specialized programs in preschool education and research methodologies in social sciences.
