Dr. Farook Sayed is a highly experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon with over three decades of expertise in neurosurgery across India and abroad.
He began his medical career at Sir H. N. Hospital, Mumbai, where he trained in General Surgery and Neurosurgery, followed by advanced neurosurgical training at the prestigious Jaslok Hospital. In 1994, he earned his DNB in Neurosurgery and subsequently joined Goa Medical College, where he served for more than 11 years, advancing from Senior Resident to Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery.
In 2005, Dr. Farook moved to Jubail General Hospital, Saudi Arabia, where he worked for over 18 years as a Consultant Neurosurgeon, managing a wide spectrum of complex neurosurgical cases and gaining vast international experience.
Since January 2024, he has been serving as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Healthway Hospital, Old Goa, bringing his global expertise and academic excellence to benefit the local community.
With a distinguished career marked by advanced training, teaching experience, and decades of clinical excellence, Dr. Farook Sayed is known for his depth of knowledge, surgical precision, and compassionate approach to patient care—making him one of the most respected neurosurgeons in the region.

Dr Durga Lawande did her MD , Pulmonology from , Goa Medical College in 1982. She Joined as a Consultant Pulmonologist, Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Goa Medical College in 1985. She has been a PG guide for several students in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine since 1990. In 2016 she was appointed as Professor & Head of Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Goa Medical College. She has been associated with Healthway Hospital as a Visiting Consultant since 2021.
- Involved in teaching and training of Under graduates and postgraduates of Goa Medical College for more than 30 years.
- Won the Prestigious Fundacao Oriente Scholarship to visit Lisbon for 3 months and study allergy and immunology at Pullide Valente hospital, Lisbon ,Portugal
- Got WHO Fellowship in 1996 under which she visited University of Illinois Chicago and East Tennessee State University for 3 months in Tuberculosis Control.
- Internal and External examiner for various Universities of India.
- Master trainer of trainers in HIV and TB and has been a training faculty for MOs and resident doctors in Goa medical College.
- Published Scientific papers in National and International journals.

- Conducted many medical camps, TB detection camps under various NGO activities.
