Our Cardiology department provides a full suite of non-invasive and invasive cardiac diagnostic and treatment services. We continue to invest in the latest available technology which enables our specialists to provide the patients with cutting-edge, life-saving treatments. Our integrated Cardiovascular department offers individualised treatment. Patients are guided through the diagnosis, medical or surgical treatment and rehabilitation of complex heart diseases smoothly.

We have conducted a large number of successful angioplasties, complex coronary and peripheral vascular procedures for patients across Goa as well as from neighbouring states. We have a fully functional cath lab and a 24/7 running CCU unit with qualified doctors and support staff.

We are the first in Goa to perform IVUS guided angiography and angioplasty in a kidney disease patient. A technique called Intravascular Ultrasound ( IVUS) to visualize the artery from inside as a guide. This procedure involved no usage of contrast medium hence it was safe for the kidney disease patient.

Our team of highly experienced and qualified faculty providing 24X7 Interventional Cardiac Services. We offer high-end treatment solutions for complex coronary angioplasties including FFR guided PCI, rotablation for intermediate lesions, endovascular procedures like aortic angioplasty, carotid stenting, aortic aneurysm, dissection management, Temporary and permanent pacemaker implantation etc. These complex Angioplasties are assisted by imaging guidance such as IVUS & OCT apart from the usual procedures.[/expander_maker]

SERVICES

Healthway Hospitals offers Two-Dimensional Echocardiography which provides excellent images of the heart, paracardiac structures, and the great vessels. It is a non-invasive technique that uses sonar waves in order to pass through the skin, reach the internal organs and form clear images..
An angiogram is a test to identify which arteries supplying the heart have become narrowed. It uses X-rays to show the path of blood vessels in the heart. Angioplasty is the procedure to expand these narrowed arteries. We, at Healthway conduct these procedures under the guidance of our expert doctors..
An Electrocardiogram is performed to detect abnormalities in the heart. At Healthway you can get an ECG carried out with a swift diagnosis to make sure there is no delay in detecting underlying problems that could be complicated in the future.
Stress tests are tests performed by a doctor and/or trained technician to determine the amount of stress that your heart can manage before developing either an abnormal rhythm or evidence of ischemia (not enough blood flow to the heart muscle)
Healthway’s cardiac specialists make use of Holter monitors to understand your cardiac conditions more comprehensively. A Holter monitor is an portable device that your doctor may ask you to wear in order to screen for a cardiac event such as a stroke or atrial fibrillation.
The modern intensive cardiac care unit incorporates sophisticated monitoring and state of the art equipment to meet the changing needs of the patient with cardiovascular disease. The unit operates in the centre of the hospital’s cardiology service, receiving patients from the mobile care unit, the emergency department, and other wards.
OPD caters to a population of patients who only need a consultation with a doctor/specialist and/or obtain ongoing medical treatment or services as a result of an earlier visit. Patients arrive, complete their appointment, and then leave the Outpatient Clinic or Department. Emergency Room/Accident & Emergency, and Ambulatory Care Services.

IPD refers to the areas of the hospital where patients are accommodated after being admitted, based on doctors/specialist’s assessment, from the Emergency Services, Ambulatory Care, and Clinical/Specialty Outpatient Departments due to their presenting and emerging medical condition(s). Inpatients typically require a higher level of care and intensity of treatment, such as need for surgery, intensive medical, surgical or infection management, special observation and/or isolation.
Percutaneous pediatric intervention are done in children and adolescents to improve coronary blood flow in a variety of clinical situations. It is particularly effective in cases of postsurgical coronary compression.
A peripheral angiogram is a test conducted to identify any blood vessel narrowing in the arteries supplying your pelvis, legs, knees, ankles and your arms. Blockages in your peripheral arteries may cause pain, discomfort and tiredness. To treat the diseased area an Angioplasty is carried out by guiding a balloon catheter to the place where the artery is narrowed. Once in position, the balloon is inflated and the narrowing is gradually widened.
Pacemakers can be temporary or permanent. Temporary pacemakers are used to treat short-term heart problems and during emergencies. They might be used until your doctor can implant a permanent pacemaker or until a temporary condition goes away.
Intravascular imaging has been shown to improve procedural outcomes and safety in complex coronary interventions eg calcified arteries, CTOs( chronic total occlusions) ,Left main angioplasties etc.
